#Job _ vs _ business
Opposite to a reputed MNC there was a famous Samosa shop. During lunch time most of the employees had their snacks there. One day a Manager who works in that company had the following conversation with the owner of the shop.
Manager: " Dear friend Gopal, you have maintained this shop so well. Don't you think you are wasting your time and talent at this shop? If you would have been working in some company you would have become a manager by now"
The owner of the shop thinks for a while and says, " Sir, my job is better than your's. We both started working 10 years ago. I used to carry a basket full of samosas and sell them on streets, I used to make thousand rupees a month and you started your career with a salary of 20 thousand rupees.
In these 10 years, we both had given our best at work.
From Supervisor you got promoted as a Manager.
From a vendor who sells samosas on the streets I have become the owner of this famous shop .
Your salary is now 40,000 per month and I make 2,00,000 per month.
This is not the only reason why I am saying my job is better than yours.
Think about our children.
I started my business as a street vendor, but my son will not have to deal with all this.
My son would be the owner of this shop and my children would be benefitted by my hardwork. But in your case, your children would not be benefitted because of your hard-work instead the owner's children would be benefitted.
Your son would again have to start from level zero and by the end of his career he would reach the same position where you are now.
Whereas my son would move this business forward from where I left and he would make progress in his lifetime.
Now tell me who is wasting their time and talent?"
The Manager paid the shop owner Rs. 20 for 2 samosas and left the place without uttering a single word.
